Primary Care

Program Description

Provides mental health and primary care services to newcomers, 12 and up, in York Region and South Simcoe. The program's mental health services include short-term counselling/support, individual/group psychotherapy, mental health workshops/groups, consultations, and trauma-specific services. Primary care services include a nursing assessment, treatment, and health education. The program also builds the capacity of community agencies around newcomers' mental health through training/education.

Access Information

Referrals are completed by the referral source with the person being referred present and are sent to the program for review.
